When self-described Austin-based investigative journalist Peter Richards gets fired from his job, his life starts to disintegrate. People don't think he's credible, he lacks integrity, and his shady past catches up to him.

One night, while at home in a quaint Austin suburb, with his wife and daughter asleep, Peter witnesses his neighbor being murdered. Going against his better judgment, Peter plunges himself into the investigation and manages to become the prime suspect.
