Biografie
B. Traven, geboren 1882(?) in San Francisco(?) oder 1890(?) in Chicago(?), gestorben am 26.3.1969 in Mexiko City, seine Asche wurde von einem Sportflugzeug über den Regenwäldern des Rio Jataté in der Nähe der guatemaltekischen Grenze verstreut. Er war ein Freund der Indios, ein Feind der Großgrundbesitzer und Öltrusts und der bekannteste Unbekannte der deutschen Literatur. Als er 1969 starb, waren seine Bücher in Dutzende von Sprachen übersetzt und in über 25 Millionen Exemplaren verbreitet.
