Biography
Tennessee Williams gilt heute als einer der bedeutendsten Dramatiker des 20. Jahrhunderts. Geboren 1911 in Columbus, Mississippi, schaffte er nach einer psychisch belasteten Jugend und nach Jahren des Kampfes um Anerkennung 1945 mit dem Drama "Die Glasmenagerie" den Durchbruch zum Welterfolg.
