Emily Brontë war nur ein kurzes Leben beschieden. 1818 in Thornton geboren, verstarb die zweite der berühmten Bronte-Sisters 1848 an Tuberkulose. Neben bedeutenden Gedichten hat sie den Roman 'Sturmhöhe' hinterlassen - ihr Meisterwerk.
