Esoteric Recordings are proud to release a newly remastered edition of Vangelis classic soundtrack to Opera Sauvage, a film made in 1979 by the famous French documentary maker Frederic Rossif. The music written and recorded by Vangelis was a fine example of the maestro's ability to compose music that both suited the visual images of the film maker and stirred the emotions of the listener. The music was recorded in late 1978 and early 1979 at Vangelis Nemo Studios in London and is a breathtaking example of his dexterity as a musician and composer.
Released in 1979, the soundtrack album is now rightly regarded as a classic of both the genre and of Vangelis remarkable body of recordings, featuring the classic theme Hymne and the lengthy pieces Reve and Flammants Roses . The Esoteric Recordings reissue has been re-mastered under the supervision of Vangelis himself and is initially released as a limited edition deluxe Digi Pack with fully restored artwork.
