Überwiegend im eigenen Studio in Südirland aufgenommen und mit dem Gastgesang der Sopranistin David Navarro Sust, um Brendans und Lisas gegensätzliche und doch komplementäre Stile zu ergänzen, sind das Mittelalter und die frühe Renaissance ein zentraler Einfluss; eine Atmosphäre, die durch das Cover des Albums verstärkt wird, ein Ausschnitt aus der Erdphase des berühmten Triptychons des niederländischen Malers Hieronymus Bosch, The Garden of Earthly Delights.
