Der vierzehn Songs umfassende Longplayer, enthält u. a. eine Neuaufnahme des Klassikers "Born On The Bayou" mit Kid Rock. Neben der Kid Rock-Kollaboration enthält "Wrote A Song For Everyone" elf weitere Klassiker aus dem Fogerty-Songbook, die u. a. mit den Foo Fighters, Bob Seger, Keith Urban, Jennifer Hudson, Kid Rock, Brad Paisley, der Zac Brown Band, My Morning Jacket, Alan Jackson und Miranda Lambert neu eingespielt wurden. Aber auch mit der hochgelobten, neuen Band Dawes, in deren Musik der Einfluss des ehemaligen Creedence Clearwater Revival-Masterminds unüberhörbar ist, nahm er einen seiner Songs neu auf: "Someday Never Comes".
Zusammen mit seinen Söhnen Shane und Tyler Fogerty entstand in den Londoner Abbey Road Studios eine Version des CCR-Klassikers "Lodi" aus dem Jahr 1969. Neben Rock-Meilensteinem wie "Have You Ever Seen the Rain", "Who'll Stop the Rain" und "Proud Mary" finden sich mit "Mystic Highway" und "Train of Fools" auch zwei brandneue Stücke auf "Wrote A Song For Everyone". Ein in jeder Hinsicht beeindruckendes Album!
