Biografie
Kevin Powers war von 2004 bis 2005 als US-Soldat im Irak stationiert, wo er als Maschinengewehrschütze in Mosul und Tal Afar kämpfte. Aufgewachsen in Richmond, Virginia, studierte er an der Virginia Commonwealth University und der University of Texas, Austin, wo er Poetry Fellow am Michener Center war.
