Knapp ein Jahr vor ihren legendären Fillmore East-Performances begeisterte The Allman Brothers Band beim "Atlanta International Pop Festival" Anfang Juli 1970 zusammen mit Acts wie Jimi Hendrix, Ten Years After, Procol Harum, B. B. King, Mountain, Poco und Spirit. Ähnlich wie beim Woodstock-Festival ein Jahr zuvor kam fast eine halbe Million Menschen, um die Helden der Pop- und Rockszene bei der Arbeit zu sehen. Die beiden Performances der Allmans am 3. Juli und am 5. Juli 1970 sind vollständig auf dem vorliegenden Doppel-Album erhalten.
