Produktinfo
This first Riverside album by Nat Adderley was also the first time he had recorded without being in the company of his illustrious older brother. Although many of the Florida-born cornetist's finest moments did come as a featured performer in Cannonball Adderley's working groups, there is a very special ease and a personalized blues feeling to this debut. In addition to Johnny Griffin, who was to become one of the label's most frequent sidemen, this session marks the only Riverside appearance of the self-contained rhythm section known as The Three Sounds, who went on to be a major Blue Note Records group of the early 1960s.
